“Cannabis as a palliative treatment for cancer patients seems to be a well tolerated, effective, and safe option to help patients cope with the malignancy-related symptoms.”

From the journal Higher learning LV  we learn that the results of a new study – “Prospective Analysis of Safety and Efficacy of Medical Cannabis in Large Unselected Population of Patients with Cancer” – indicate that cannabis can help relief debilitating symptoms associated with cancer. Published by the European Journal of Internal Medicine, the results indicatesthat cannabis can help people with cancer suffering with pain, nausea, weakness, insomnia, and lack of appetite.  While only a single study, the outstanding reputation of the scientists involved including Israeli Professor Raphael Mechoulam, pictured above and widely considered to be the leading expert on all things cannabis,  gives these results enormous credibility.  The study analyzed data collected between 2015 and 2017 and included 2,970 cancer patients treated with medical cannabis.
