It’s a safe bet to say that everyone who takes full spectrum cannabis oil to help with sleep, has at one time or another taken too large a dose. It’s happened to me several times. Mostly the cause is too much comes out of the dropper and you don’t want to waste it so instead of discarding some of the oil, you put the extra drops under your tongue. If you take it right before bed you can sleep it off. But if you take too much at other times, you can get really drowsy and feel overcome with tiredness.

It’s nothing to worry about. No one has ever overdosed on CBD oil and it does not harm your liver or kidneys like almost all the meds that get manufactured in a  factory. Just think “oxycontin.”

Along with having a warm shower and going back to bed, there’s other things you can do to get your energy levels back if you take too much. Some people swear by using aromatherapy – essential oils known to increase alertness and decrease that lethargic feeling.

Other tips include going for a walk in a park, the woods, or by the sea. The important thing is to get out in nature and soak it up. Try different deep breathing exercises which increases oxygen levels and lowers blood pressure. Make sure you are well hydrated as dehydration is a major cause of extreme fatigue. Drinking more fluids sounds easy but it’s not easy for people who are not in the habit of drinking lots of water and other fluids during the day.

And don’t forget to exercise – every day no matter what. Along with a zillion other benefits exercise is considered one of the healthiest, effective ways to rid your body of cannabis fatigue and get those “feel-good” endorphins racing through your system.

Also, if you can stand it, take a cold shower, have a hot cup of coffee, turn the lights up in your home or office, and have a high-protein snack with limited sugar every three hours or so to keep your insulin and energy levels consistent.
