So do you really want to sleep better? Probably the answer is yes but easier said than done. Kim Tingley, writing in The New York Times Magazine, asks that important question as she explores research about the devastating impact over time on one’s health from not getting enough sleep. But even with all the studying it turns out experts still know very little about sleep – only that it’s a physical and emotional train wreck to be sleep deprived which is why it’s a common use of torture.
There are big adverse health outcomes when one is sleep deprived. Tingley writes, “These include weight gain and obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and stroke, depression, impaired immune function, increased pain, greater likelihood of accidents and “increased risk of death. The National Institutes of Health recently reported sleep deprivation may increase the beta-amyloid proteins in the brain linked with Alzheimer’s disease.”
But the article never mentions the numerous studies conducted around the world that all report CBD oil is the best medicine for sleeping. And like all other sleeping pills and medication, CBD is not addictive. Even if you just take Tylenol PM or Unisom pills, most of us are hooked and have to go off them slowly after just 3 days.
Here’s the link to Kim Tingley’s article on all the scientific reasons why we need to get a good night’s sleep.
