Meet Sir William Brooke O’Shaughnessy, an Irish doctor famous for his wide-ranging scientific work in pharmacology and chemistry in the 1800’s. His research in India led to the development of intravenous therapy and the medicinal uses of cannabis which was then introduced to Western medicine.
