There’s something important you need to know about this website and the people behind it. We have nothing to do with private equity or the financial services industry. Our only goal is to provide useful, entertaining, and interesting content for people who want to learn more about the awesome power of cannabis.
Whether or not money is the root of all evil is an open question. What’s not up for debate however is the impact the financial “services” industry has had on American life and the American people and that includes their aggressive move into the recreational and medical marijuana market.
This is not a positive development. Let’s run through a few lowlights shall we? The lead-filled water in Flint, Michigan? Yup – that’s what happens when you let a bunch of Wall St. types privatize the public water supply.
Unaffordable health care? Well there’s a lot of blame to go around on this one but to be sure the money men are among the worst offenders. Check out the story at Mother Jones about how Trump’s pals at Blackrock got God only knows how much Corona cash and are getting even richer squeezing the sick and dying.
Education? People used to understand that those essential services that mean life or death for all of us, should never be taken over by the investment class. Public education was at the top of that list. But now we have lots of kids at charter schools get straight A’s not because they studied hard but because the shareholders in the business want to see “better test scores.”
If these rapacious creatures in fancy suits think they can run a pump and dump operation, or any of the other tricks they call things like “financial instruments,” they will simply move in, take over and do their best to destroy anything of value before cashing in and moving on to the next target.
It doesn’t matter what it is – water, health care, the military, policing, CBD oil, parking meters, whatever. If there are people to rip off and billions to be made, outfits like Blackrock will “bust it out” as they used to say in the La Cosa Nostra, with alarming efficiency.
