Check out the story written by New York Times reporter Rachel Nuwer about Kanu, a Bengal tiger suffering with all kinds of ailments at a zoo in Colombia. Desperate to help Kanu, the zoo veterinarians decided to try and feed the tiger pieces of fish infused with cannabis oil. The results were amazing. Similar results, showcasing the positive effects of cannabis oil, occurred with a different large mammal. Despite the relatively small dose, within days an elephant started eating and within 10 days had gained 500 pounds. We think It was the first time an elephant was given cannabis oil but based on the results it won’t be the last.
