If you check the weed-wires today (news about cannabis, medical cannabis, med. cannabis industry) you will notice a ton of fake news about the cannabis-psychosis connection (there isn’t one) and how we need to make sure that medical cannabis is really crappy, so kids don’t get addicted to “pot.”

The drug warriors and their allies in the private sector have never been very creative or original – so a lot of this stuff reads like it’s from 1987 or copied from a D.A.R.E. poster.

The motives for the THC caps in Florida, Colorado and other states (sought by the police, medical, insurance, addiction treatment center and pharmaceutical lobbies) are obvious to those in the cannabis community as opposed to the cannabis industry.

It’s a way to make people buy twice as much medicine to get the same relief and results. It also makes it easier for big companies that produce crappy product, in order to compete in local “grey” markets.

THC is not harmful and if research involving the medical efficacy of cannabis wasn’t illegal in the USA this would be more widely known. This is why cannabis will almost certainly maintain its official federal status as the most dangerous and addictive drug known to man. More addictive than oxy and smack according to DEA “science.”

But unlike THC, vitamin E acetate is toxic. That’s what they put in commercial vape cartridges. Our friends over at Leafly have a good article on this if you’re interested:

So why wouldn’t public health officials be interested in making sure that manufacturers are not putting poison (tocopherols) in the vape cartridges (especially the nicotine ones) that are so popular with young people?

If this question interests you, just do a little digging on the political influence and lobbying power of the biggest manufacturers: DuPont and ADM to name just two. More here.
