From our friends at Marijuana Moment, we learned that Congresswoman Val Hoyle (3rd from right) representing Oregon’s 4th District, had a visit from Ricky Williams (3rd from left), the former NFL running back who is supporting Hoyle’s efforts to legalize cannabis for recreational and medical use.
Representative Hoyle had this to say: “Legalizing cannabis will create economic opportunities nationwide and can help reduce reliance on opioids. Former NFL running back Ricky Williams visited my office to discuss his advocacy on and off the field and how Congress can support this work.”
Ricky Williams played 11 seasons with the NFL and one season with the Canadian Football League. Ricky joins many other current and former football players who been able to ditch the opioids after finding pain relief with cannabis.
