Law enforcement officials, community groups and residents from the Nepalese town of Baidam destroyed 1,500 cannabis plants back in 2018. The action took place in Sarangkot, a tourist destination in Nepal, a country that borders Tibet and China and is in the Himalayan mountain range, home to the world’s highest peaks including Mt Everest.

A team of police, local representatives with a drug control campaign, youth club members and a mothers’ group destroyed the plants that were growing in public places and on private land in the area.
