Hey, it’s time for the YourCanna-Club dance party. What inspired us to do this is learning about how dancing helps with a whole range of things including depression, anger, fitness, insomnia and more. So every Friday we’re going to host an online party featuring one of the best dance tunes of all time. Then we’re going to make a play list of all the songs so you can download it on your phone, hook it up to one of those small speakers and dance the night away. If you access the playlist on your phone there’s no YouTube ads. But on the computer or iPad each song will probably get followed by an ad which is pretty annoying and certainly doesn’t work for a party. Today we picked one of the best – Whitney Houston singing “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” Doing the searches we found a lot of different Whitney videos especially of this song. We’re pretty sure this is the best one. It’s a video of her performing at an Arista Records celebration. Whitney signed her first record deal with the label in 1983. In 2001 she landed a whopping $100 million deal. She remained with Arista throughout her career becoming the label’s best-selling artist. With sales of more than 220 million records worldwide, Whitney is still one of the world’s most popular performers. On February 11, 2012, Whitney was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office reported that Houston’s death was an accidental drowning caused by the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.
