Tired of pesticides in your expensive store-bought cannabis? We’ll show you how to grow your own on the cheap even in New York City. Follow us on our journey from seed to weed.

Make sure you follow YourCanna-Club as we go on this exciting journey. When we’re done you will be able to do what we did – grow cannabis in the middle of New York in a small apartment on a shoe-string budget. – Sebastian Nichols, YourCanna-Club. 20 years experience in the legacy market

Step #1: Source your seeds online. Google “cannabis seeds for sale”. Find a variety that speaks to you. Purchase the seeds online and wait for the deliver. Below is a bag of seeds I just bought online.

Step #2: The soil you use is probably the key to having a great grow and an even better harvest.  Always use new organic soil and amendments (compost, earthworm castings, & manure). This creates a fully fortified grow medium which makes your plants very happy. There are a lot of great organic soil options to buy at your local garden center or online. One reliable company is FoxFarm. We went with Happy Frog soil which is an excellent  all-in-one option. Because cannabis is such a heavy feeding plant, we decided to add extra earthworm castings and perlite. This adds crucial nitrogen and aeration to the root zone. If you use good soil your plants will look like the ones here after just one month. We are doing this in New York City. You can see the apartment building across from us out the window. In New York State the law is every person is allowed to grow six plants in their apartment, up to a total of 12 per household so we planted 6 exactly.

Step #3: Get free containers from recycle bins to start your seeds. Or use small plastic cups.

Step #4: Place soil you’ve collected into small plastic cups, moisten the soil and plant the seeds 1/4 inch deep. Place cups in your sunniest window. Seeds should sprout and start growing 2-3 days.
