Hey! We know the Teamsters are organizing everywhere which seems encouraging. And much to our surprise that includes workers in the cannabis industry – everyone from dispensary workers to trimmers in the greenhouse. The Teamsters are also talking to folks in a wide range of industries including Amazon warehouse workers and drivers, nurses and doctors, and casino workers to name a few. They are also actively organizing in companies like UPS, DHL, and Sysco, GO TEAMSTERS!!! We’re trying to do a lot of music for our posts. For this one we found a song John Lennon wrote and performed – “Working Class Hero.” It was remastered in 2010 and is widely considered one of the greatest union songs ever. The image and story was sent in by Greg Gigg, a good friend, a former truck driver and longtime member of the Teamsters Union.
