This happened a couple of years ago and the problem has only gotten worse. While a member of Parliament, Victoria was a strong opponent of legal cannabis at the same time her husband William owned a cannabis farm.
Peter Reynolds, president of the Clear Campaign for Cannabis said, “It’s not just a conflict of interest, it is hypocrisy on a grand scale.” That’s a very mild way to put it considering sick kids and Brexit’s impact on their access to medicines. There’s no question that what some call the “God Plant” has untold promise in the curing and treating diseases department. And then there’s all the stuff about how we could use hemp to replace plastic and microplastics and how this herb could help us “go green”.
But if you really want to blow your mind, consider how cannabis makes it so easy to spot professional liars. In addition to being useful for what seems like literally “everything else,” cannabis is also a powerful bullshit detector. Use cannabis as the lens or spyglass and it’s easy to spot a liar faster than Ghislaine Maxwell can spot a target in the form of a vulnerable 15-year-old girl. Most of these drug warriors are hypocrites – the evidence is everywhere. Just ask “The Singer” (AKA Bob Marley).
