Michael Le Page, the author of a recent article in New Scientist, writes that evidence is accumulating that THC, one of the active ingredients in cannabis, may slow the aging process.
“We repeated these experiments many times,” said Andreas Zimmer, who led the team of scientists at the University of Bonn in Germany. “It’s a very robust and profound effect.”
Zimmer’s team has been studying the endocannabinoid system’s effects on mammals especially our body’s response to stress. You can read more of Michael Le Page’s article in New Scientist here. This is an excellent resource for all things “science.”
