It’s sounds good, but is it “mission impossible?” Two studies have shot holes in the theory that kindness is a sign of weakness and should be avoided – especially for men. Two studies conducted by SWPS University in Poland, revealed that participants who were regularly kind to others reported it was easier and more fun to work in a group. Kindness and just generally “being nice” instead of edgy and angry also improved the morale of the group and the quality of their lives. The study found that even a minor gesture like making eye contact and smiling worked wonders. Now for all you managers, here’s the question. In these times we are in how in God’s name do you get your team to be “nice” and “kind.” Sounds like a good idea but is it mission impossible?
